From DIY Dreamer
to DIY Queen
- I left school at 17.
School structure wasn't my vibe. I was way more interested in getting into the workforce and creating something for myself. People thought I was absolutely bonkers. Spoiler alert: I've never regretted it for a single day.
- I tried everything.
Administration, financial planning, legal offices, even a stint as a pole dancing instructor (which, honestly, gave me more confidence than any office job ever did). But no matter what I tried, nothing felt like it fit perfectly.
- Then I bought my first house at 18.
Growing up, my parents introduced me to the world of DIY and renovating. My dad, 'Know-it-All Noel', is an electrician and a wizard at fixing anything. My mum was the styling queen. I was right in the middle, learning, watching, and soaking up every skill I could.
- I realised something huge.
Most women want to learn DIY but don't know where to start. They walk into a hardware store and feel overwhelmed. They believe they need some special 'handy person' gene. They're scared of messing up, so they don't even try. And I got it, because I used to feel that way too.
- So I decided to change the game.
I started sharing my projects online, and suddenly women from all over the world were messaging me: 'I wish I could do that. T've always wanted to try but I'm scared I'll mess it up! That's when it clicked. I created an online DIY learning community to give women a fun, welcoming space to learn, without fear, frustration, or feeling like they don't belong.
Seeing women go from

to "Look what I just built!!!"
That is the best feeling in the world. And it's why I do this every single day.
