You know those jobs you keep waiting for someone else to do?
The shelf that still hasn't been put up. The door that drags on the carpet. The loose fence paling you walk past every day.
Or maybe there's nothing that needs fixing. You just want to be able to look at a DIY project and think, "I could make that."
I want that for you too.
Because it's frustrating having ideas for your home but feeling like you need someone else to make them happen.
And often, you don't need someone to do the whole job for you. You need someone to explain how to do it.
That's where I come in. ❤️

If you're a little scared of the tools, you're in the right place
You might assume that because I grew up renovating homes, I've always been comfortable with power tools.
Nope.
Give me a paintbrush and I was happy. But something noisy with a motor? I had questions. 😂
What if I couldn't control it? What if I used the wrong setting? What if I hurt myself?
So I understand why "just have a go" isn't particularly helpful when nobody has explained what you're supposed to do.
Inside this course, I walk you through the tools, their attachments, the settings and how to use them safely. Then you can practise what you've learned before moving on to a project.
You're allowed to be a complete beginner here. That's who I made it for.

- You've never used power tools, but you'd love to learn.
- You own a drill and mostly guess which setting to use. Those little numbers do actually mean something. I'll explain. 😉
- You're tired of waiting for help with jobs you'd like to be able to do yourself.
- You want to improve your home on a budget, and learning some practical skills would make that easier.
- You'd love your kids to see you building and fixing things.
- You want someone to explain it clearly, without assuming you already know all the terminology.
You don't have to be planning a big renovation. Wanting to hang your own shelf is a perfectly good reason to start.

There are 15 short video lessons and 13 downloadable guides, so you can work through everything in order and come back whenever you need a reminder.
We get you familiar with the basics
How to use your tools safely
We go through the safety gear, how to handle the tools and the checks and habits you need to understand before starting.
What all the attachments are for
Drill bits, blades, sanding pads... there are a lot of options when you walk into the hardware store. I explain what they do and how to choose the right one for the job.
What you actually need to get started
Before you go buying everything, we talk about what's worth having, what can wait, what you could borrow and what to consider when comparing cheaper and more expensive tools.
We get to know the tools
The drill
Learn how to drill holes and drive screws, choose your bits and understand the settings, including what those numbers mean and how to avoid stripping screws.
The multi-tool
Learn how it can help with trimming, scraping and getting into awkward spots around your home.
The orbital sander
Get familiar with sanding and preparing surfaces for furniture makeovers and a smoother finish.
The staple gun
Learn how to use it for projects like re-covering a tired chair or ottoman.
The nail gun
Understand how it works and how it can help with attaching decorative timber for projects like feature walls.
Each tool lesson includes a small practice task using scrap timber, so you can get familiar with it before taking it to your project.
We put those skills to use around your home
You'll have five beginner project options to choose from: a candle holder, herb planter, bedside table refresh, coat rack or fabric notice board.
Something you can finish, stand back from and say, "I made that."
Which is a pretty good feeling, by the way. ❤️

Join Power Tool Queens for $49 →Hey, I'm Jade!
I grew up helping my parents renovate homes. Dad was an electrician, Mum loved interiors, and there was usually a property being worked on or another one they wanted to look at.
So my obsession with homes started fairly early.
Over fifteen years and twenty renovations, I've learned a lot about transforming spaces, using tools and working things out when they don't quite go to plan.
And yes, I've made plenty of mistakes along the way. You'll hear about some of those too. 😂
After having my kids, I lost a lot of confidence in myself. Getting back into DIY and spending time creating in the garage helped me reconnect with something I'd always loved.
It's one of the reasons I care so much about teaching other women.
I want you to have the skills to improve your home, but I also want you to experience how good it feels when you realise you can do something you used to leave to someone else.
I've now taught more than 2,000 women, and my home featured on the cover of Bunnings Magazine in July 2026.
I'd love to help you get started too.

My 30-day confidence guarantee
I want you to feel comfortable giving this a go.
Complete the course, and if you still don't feel ready to pick up a power tool on your own, I'll give you your money back.
No awkward hoops.
A few things you might be wondering
Do I need to own the tools before I join?
No. You can watch the lessons first and work out what makes sense for you.
I cover buying, borrowing and looking for second-hand tools, and your bonus Tool Shopping Guide helps you understand what to look for and what each tool should cost.
You don't need to arrive with a fully stocked shed.
What if I'm worried I'm not strong enough?
You don't need to be someone who can carry a stack of timber under one arm.
I show you how to handle and support the tools properly, and how to let the tool do the work. You can learn what's involved and choose tools and projects that suit your abilities.
I'm scared I'll hurt myself. Does the course cover safety?
Yes. Safety is an important part of what I teach.
We go through the protective gear, how to handle each tool and the habits you need to practise when using it. I want you to understand what you're doing before you start.
Couldn't I just learn on YouTube?
You can learn plenty on YouTube. I share tutorials there myself!
The difference here is that I've put the beginner lessons together in an order you can follow, so you don't have to keep searching for the next thing you need to understand.
You can work through it all with the same teacher and come back to the explanations whenever you need them.
What if I don't have much spare time?
The lessons are short, and there's no timetable you have to keep up with.
Watch a lesson when you have a little time, then come back to practise when it suits you. You can pause and rewatch as often as you like.
Will this teach me to renovate my whole home?
This is a beginner tool course. It teaches you how to use the five tools, tackle the included household jobs and get started with simple projects.
You can build on those skills over time. You don't need to learn everything at once.
What if I finish and still don't feel confident?
That's what the 30-day confidence guarantee is for.
Complete the course, and if you still don't feel ready to have a go with the tools on your own, I'll refund you.
Ready to learn how to do it yourself?
You don't need to know how to use the tools before you join. You just need to want to learn.
Come and work through it with me, one tool and one lesson at a time.
That project you keep looking at? Let's help you understand how to get started. 🔨
